Logis Hotel Restaurant L'Auberge Normande - Carentan

The standard double room I stayed in was modern and equipped with an electric kettle and glassware.

We were in the "family" room - two separate bedrooms, which was nice. Very cute hotel, clean and well-kept. The beds were comfortable, although the pillows a bit high for me. Tea and coffee in the room, plus a mini-fridge. No iron or fan.

The bathroom was just that - a bath tub with a hand-held shower head, and no shower curtain. Very difficult to wash my long hair, and difficult not to splash water everywhere. The staff spoke very little English, so trying to ask if there were any other rooms was difficult. Thank goodness we had no other problems. Internet was free but difficult to connect to. Breakfast was not included, but could be purchased for e9.00 Each person (much better to walk to the town center and buy pastries at the bakery and juice at the grocery store.) Not a bad experience overall, but the shower was annoying.

Coffee/tea makers, a flat-screen TV, and a dining area available in the family room. Nice bathroom and a bathtub with good sewerage. Great and perfect location, a few steps away from everywhere. Found in a great area.

The location is marvelous and perfect, so close to the city center. the restaurant served wonderful food.

The restaurant was extremely expensive and in our opinion did not give value for money.

The food at the restaurant was top-notch! They served fresh and delicious dishes, and the breakfast options were huge. Both of us chose dishes that were simply excellent. 🍴.

The room is new-fashioned and compact with double bed. There is a variety of supplies like : Wi-Fi, a TV, and a storage👍

The staff was so nice - they spoke very little English, but really tried to help us in every way they could. The rooms were so modern and new - everything was great! The beds were comfortable and the shower was big!

The phone in our hotel room was broken, and since it was a problem with the phone jack in the wall they weren't able to fix it. It would have been nice if we could have moved to a different room. Also, if you're staying on a holiday there is a chance you won't get the breakfast you ordered to your room. They realized the mistake and didn't charge us for the breakfast, no questions asked.

The room was nicely styled with a comfortable double bed and they offer wake-up service if needed, with staff being very helpful as one would expect in a 5-star hotel.

The hotel location is good, close to many points of interest. The bed was really comfy. All the features were contemporary: nice, big shower, translucent sink, pristine separate toilets. They had obviously made an effort in decorating and styling the rooms all in olive green and brown tones.

A disappointment. We had selected this hotel as it was a 'Hotel de Charme'. When we arrived we were ushered into a brand new purpose bit building where they had managed to fit 5 rooms. Despite the rooms being well appointed, it was not the charming atmosphere we expected. Rooms like many visited on business purposes - comfortable yet without character. The first room we were given was huge with a beautiful open plan bath but too noisy (wooden stairs + banging front door) so we asked to change. Our next room was half the size, over-heated and full of mosquitoes! Service was indifferent and questions answered laconically. The expensive breakfast lacked of choice (and clean cups) with flies everywhere and staff busy preparing tables for lunch.

Trendy rooms with a cozy bedroom and a cool bathroom in the attic, for instance. the staff here is top-notch. the morning breakfast is solid - lots of delicious options to choose from! 🥐

The staff are excellent, and they tolerated my less than perfect French pronunciation. The hotel is being renovated bit by bit, but will be a real gem when finished.

The rooms were nice, so was the food.

The price of drinks, and the few problems we encountered with malfunctions in the shower.
